Sans ces aventuriers, venus s’installer en Nouvelle-France, ayant le goût de renouveau ou contraints d’y venir, le Québec d’aujourd’hui serait tout autre. Le travail manuel, l’acharnement et la rigueur étaient de mise pour affronter ces conditions rudes et sans pitié.
The settlers :
Quebec would not be what it is today, had it not been for the presence of these adventurers, who came to New France, wishing to start anew or perhaps obliged to leave their motherland. Manual work, tenacity and rigour were indispensable to cope with the territory’s harsh and merciless conditions.
